Visit Kangaroo Island, the third largest island in Australia, from Adelaide for an adventure tour. Nature’s playground has a wide range of animals, such as those on land, water and in the air. You will be completely absorbed into the wild environment, untouched sandy beaches, and friendly host community in this area. Let your senses be deeply touched by nature. They should visit places like Flinders Chase National Park or Seal Bay in their travels. Engage in honey sampling and wine tasting, as well as conservation projects. Be ready to hike along spectacular trails, swim in crystal-clear waters full of marine life and fall asleep watching the southern sky dotted with countless stars.

Exploring Kangaroo Island
Enrich your journey by volunteering in a conservation project at Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary after breakfast. This immaculate wilderness that stretches for around two thousand hectares is home to various native Australian animals, including koalas, kangaroos, possums, echidnas, reptiles and birds. Though the sanctuary suffered from 2020 bushfires, which razed much of Kangaroo Island, this has become an emblem of resilience, revival and growth. Our conservation work changes with seasons, including horticulture, such as seed collection, tree planting, or even walk-through wildlife counts. We will then head to Flinders Chase National Park, known worldwide for its volcanic rock formations and stunning beaches.
While at Admirals Arch, just take a slow walk along the boardwalk and experience the peaceful atmosphere. Look out for New Zealand fur seals in their natural habitat. These Remarkable Rocks were formed naturally over five hundred million years ago. Before having lunch, go nature walking at Weirs Cove.
Get ready for an extraordinary wildlife encounter at Seal Bay after lunch. This bay is home to the third-largest population of endangered Australian sea lions, numbering about 800 individuals. There is also a guided tour known as the Sea Lion Tour, which takes 45 minutes and is guided by knowledgeable National Parks & Wildlife guides who can give you insights about sea lions. Walking on boardwalks through sand dunes towards the beach should enable you to see these mammals basking or playing in the sand while learning about efforts being made towards saving them from extinction.

Day 3
Kangaroo Island to Adelaide
Begin your last day of touring with a morning hike. After that, enjoy the delights of Kingscote and savour a tasty cup of coffee. Spend the rest of the day exploring the awesome north coast of the island. Go through a maze of caves until you reach the famous Stokes, Which in 2023 was named Australia’s number one beach.
Have a picnic lunch, and then, if the weather is fine, go snorkelling in rock pools or just admire the beautiful natural surroundings.
Today, you have an opportunity to engage in citizen science and assist with Island conservation efforts and research through the Passport to Recovery initiative.
In the afternoon, return to “Paradise” for a quick shower, pack your stuff and then take off to Penneshaw for a ferry ride at 7:30 pm back on the mainland. You will have an option for one more dinner (at an additional cost) before saying goodbye to your guide.
Upon reaching Cape Jervis, SeaLink bus service will bring you back to Adelaide by 11 pm.
