Beautiful experience at the 3-Day-Tour from Melbourne to Adelaide Just finished my 3-day-tour in Adelaide and it was a great experience. Our tour guide "J-dog" alias Janet was the best. Always in good spirit, singing, she was very knowledgeable about everything, was super friendly and a great pal. The Tour was great, beautiful sceneries along The Great Ocean Road, many animals in the National Parks, we saw koalas, kakadoos, kookaburras, kangagooes etc.and the bushwalks were nice too. The accomodations were great, only 3 people in a room, the food was amazing. I also met some nice people, even from Switzerland. I can only recommend this tour, I loved it.
Itinerary
Upon arrival, visitors will be welcomed as part of an initial tour. Upon reaching the airport, travellers are responsible for arranging their own accommodations in Alice Springs (not included in the package; please book directly). At 4:30 pm, everyone will meet at Olive Pink Botanic Garden to introduce themselves, discuss the upcoming journey, and receive guidance. Afterwards, participants can return to their accommodations in Alice Springs early to rest before the journey begins.
If you arrive in the morning, you might want to spend some time exploring the town centre of the Red Centre before heading out to the remote outback. In Central Australia, many art galleries display Aboriginal art, which can also help you ensure that you have all the necessary preparations in place for your Larapinta Trail adventure.
Section 1: Alice Springs to Wallaby Gap
There is going to be an early departure from the suburbs, and we shall commence exploring the wilderness. The natural wonders in Western MacDonnell Ranges and their traditional culture make them the best in Australia. We will start our walking track with a 14 km walk from just outside Alice Springs. We will see stunning vistas, particularly at Euro Ridge. It is intended for this particular walk to be casual, as we will have time throughout the next four days to unwind and enjoy ourselves in this area. Our destination is Wallaby Gap, where our Ground Support Vehicle (GSV) will be waiting to ferry us to our remote camping spot deep in MacDonnell Ranges National Park. There could also be an opportunity to go swimming if it’s not too late. It will feel genuine since the region has strong ties with the Dreamtime of the Western Arrernte Aboriginal people. Prior to the delicious dinner, we are going to have a Kungkas Can Cook tasting platter, which includes bush foods and wild-harvested produce from both Central Desert Region.

This area boasts an indigenous culture with significant locations like ‘Yapulpa’, which is associated with the Carpet Snake Dreaming and Emu and Kangaroo Man Dreaming. If time permits, we may opt to swim in one of the most picturesque natural waterholes. As the sun sets in the evening, we can return to our fixed camp and appreciate the array of colours in the desert throughout the night.
