Many of you considering a trip to the Northern Territory will have seen the unprecedented tragedy that is currently unfolding across Australia.
Fires in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia have catastrophically burnt over half a million hectares. At Wayoutback, our hearts go out to all those affected over the last weeks. We stand with our fellow Aussies now and in the uncertain days ahead.
If you’re considering booking a trip with us, we want to stress that we remain unaffected by fires here in the Northern Territory. Wayoutback Australian Safaris is open for business operating tours as normal to the Red Centre and Ayers Rock, and the Top End and Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks.
For anyone wondering how you can help those in need, we in the Australian Tourism Industry have committed to raising $250,000 to help those facing crisis here in Australia. Your donation will help the Red Cross provide much needed, on the ground assistance to those affected by this tragedy.
For more information and to make a donation, follow this link to the official Red Cross page that has been set up.
Staying Up to Date
Most of our top destinations remain safe and continue to welcome visitors, and currently all international airports in Australia are operating as normal. Tourism Australia is updating this page with detailed information of areas affected by the fires.
