Beautiful experience at the 3-Day-Tour from Melbourne to Adelaide Just finished my 3-day-tour in Adelaide and it was a great experience. Our tour guide "J-dog" alias Janet was the best. Always in good spirit, singing, she was very knowledgeable about everything, was super friendly and a great pal. The Tour was great, beautiful sceneries along The Great Ocean Road, many animals in the National Parks, we saw koalas, kakadoos, kookaburras, kangagooes etc.and the bushwalks were nice too. The accomodations were great, only 3 people in a room, the food was amazing. I also met some nice people, even from Switzerland. I can only recommend this tour, I loved it.
Day 1
Darwin – Kakadu National Park
Our first day takes us east from Darwin City to the Mary River Wetlands for a Crocodile Cruise. You’ll get up close to diverse birdlife and the apex predator that calls the wetlands home—the saltwater crocodile. From there, we head to Kakadu National Park. We’ll stop at the Bowali Visitor Centre, where you can learn about the park’s incredible native wildlife, its breathtaking beauty, and the culture of the people who call it home.
That’s just a taste of what we have in store for you. Lunch comes first, then we’ll cross Cahills Crossing on foot and explore the ancient landscapes and rock engravings at Ubirr Walk. As the day winds down, we’ll watch the sunset over Nadab Floodplain before returning to camp.
Day 2
Kakadu Waterfalls & Plunge Pools
Day two starts early, with a trip south into Kakadu National Park. We’ll hike through those tropical monsoon rainforests and cool off in the rock pools, fringed by some of the most spectacular waterfalls you’ll ever see. Depending on the weather, we might visit Twin Falls or Jim Jim Falls. If time allows, we’ll also check out Barramundi Gorge (Maguk) or another accessible waterfall. We’ll also visit Nourlangie Rock, where you can see more ancient art. Dinner back at camp rounds out the day.
Day 3
Litchfield National Park to Darwin
Travel south through Pine Creek to Litchfield National Park, where we spend the afternoon swimming in Buley Rockholes’ plunge pools, rock holes and waterfalls like Florence Falls, Wangi Falls or others. We’ll look at some of the most impressive Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds before returning to Darwin City.
