Katherine Gorge

You can discover Nitmiluk National Park, it’s a Top End attraction!
From Darwin in the morning, we travel south along Stuart Highway, passing Adelaide River and Pine Creek townships on the way to Katherine. Our guide will give you notes on this part and an interactive session on NT’s flora & fauna.
The highlight of the day is a NitNit Dreaming two-hour boat cruise through Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk). Watch how natural light plays around and changes the colours of the landscape and rock formations as we navigate through cliffs that are over 70 meters high. Learn about the Jawoyn people, traditional owners of this area, and their culture and stories.
We visit Edith Falls (Leliyn) either before or after the boat cruise, depending on the time. Here you can swim in the natural plunge pool and take in the views.
As we head back, we pass through Adelaide River and Pine Creek and finally back to Darwin for a quiet night.
