The 1-Day Melbourne Snow Tour costs $150 for adults (13+) and $120 for children (0 to 12). For our youngest passengers, a snug and secure child or baby seat may be necessary for children under four. What to Expect?
Lake Mountain – Where’s the Lake?
Morning: Departure from Melbourne. We will leave Melbourne early in the morning, excited about our day of snow adventures and the countryside beauty that awaits us!
Late Morning: Arrive at Lake Mountain Drive along picturesque landscapes for 90 minutes to reach Lake Mountain Snow Resort, where Victoria’s most popular winter activities take place. Nestled among hills, Lake Mountain is a pretty place with slopes covered in snow and tall gum trees.
Midday: Snow play and activities! Spend the afternoon exploring Lake Mountain. Three hours of snow play will provide plenty of time to build a snowman, have a snowball fight, or just breathe in fresh mountain air while enjoying amazing views. The resort maintains its trails thus providing opportunities for gentle strolls through forests covered with snow and snowshoeing!
Afternoon: Marysville Exploration. We will travel further from Lake Mountain towards Marysville, a small town full of natural beauty that soothes people who come here to relax from everything else they have gone through. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains called the Great Dividing Range. When we arrive there, we will go straight to the Marysville Visitor Information Centre, where you can explore local attractions. Then, we will proceed to Steavenson Falls for a short walk into nature.
Steavenson Falls Nature Walk. The path follows through lush fern gullies and towering mountain ash trees to Steavenson Falls. You can hear the waterfalls as you walk to them, and when you reach the viewing area, you will see stunning cascades 84 meters high falling into a rocky basin down below. Lush foliage on rocks and boulders adds glamour to this splendid waterfall.
Late Afternoon: Scenic Yarra Valley Drive Wrap your day by heading out of Marysville on a magical drive through Yarra Valley, which is known for its world-class wineries, vineyards with green fields all over, and rolling hills. The valley has a beautiful landscape of vineyard covered slopes broken by small villages.
Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery To end your trip, you must visit Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery which is a haven for both chocolate lovers and food enthusiasts. You can taste handcrafted chocolate delights; observe chocolatiers at their craft; or enjoy mouthwatering ice creams made from local ingredients. In an attractive outside sitting place surrounded by vineyards, there is a view where one can indulge in tempting sweets.
Evening: Return to Melbourne As the day comes to an end relax on your way back to Melbourne reflecting on some snow trip memories which will be unforgettable including scenic beauty witnessed in Victoria’s country side.
