Tour Guides

We pride ourselves on the very high standard of our guides. We are the only Uluru (Ayers Rock) and remote specialist tourism operator based in Alice Springs accredited at the Advanced ECO Level IV standard. As such we are very aware of our responsibility to provide well informed, environmentally conscious, highly trained tour guides. All guides have a sound knowledge of our local area focusing on its history, Aboriginal culture, geology and the natural environment. By evaluating our guides performance after every tour we ensure that a high standard is maintained. All our guides are trained in house with direct involvement of our founder and to this day Managing Director Don Wait. All guide skills are constantly re-evaluated to ensure best practices are not only met but exceeded.

Wayoutback is always on the lookout for passionate people to lead our tours. If you think you have what it takes, contact Tour Operations Manager Graham Hanks and tell us why we would be crazy not to hire you. To work with us you will need a strong interest in flora and fauna, culture, history and be fit and active. You need exceptional people skills, patience and above all, take your responsibility to ensure our guests safety seriously.
