Tours to Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Wayoutback Australian Safaris offer unforgettable Uluru Tours that take in all of the highlights of Australia's Red Centre, including Kata Tjuta and Watarrka. Our tours to Uluru allow you to soak up Aboriginal culture and the rugged natural beauty of the Outback on small group adventures that explore these iconic sites.
On a Wayoutback Uluru Tour you will have the chance to enjoy sunset over the iconic Uluru, hike through Kata Tjuta, with its many domes, enjoy stunning views over Kings Canyon and learn about Aboriginal culture and ‘bush tucker’ with exclusive cultural experiences. You'll enjoy a true outback experience during your journey, with the chance to sleep under the stars in a swag (or in a comfortable tent) and enjoy meals cooked over an open fire.
Uluru Tours from Ayers Rock and Alice Springs
The tours we offer to Uluru depart from Alice Springs, Ayers Rock Airport or Ayers Rock Resort (which is made up of a number of hotels).
If you're looking to join one of our Uluru Tours but will be based in one of Australia's other cities, you can fly to either Ayers Rock Airport or Alice Springs. Ayers Rock Airport is the closest airport to access Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park, however many people choose to fly to Alice Springs - a classic Outback town - and begin their tour from there. Tours and packages that start from Alice Springs and travel to Ayers Rock on Day 1 of their itinerary can alternatively be connected onto at Ayers Rock Airport or resort. On each tour page, you'll find details about the specific departure times and pick-up points for each Uluru tour.
Uluru Tours from Darwin
It's almost 2,000 kms from Darwin to Uluru, but we offer a number of tour packages that connect these two Australia highlights. These tour packages include highlights of both the Red Centre and the Top End including Uluru, Kakadu & Litchfield National Parks. You can read about our Darwin to Alice Springs tours here.
Choosing an Uluru Tour
Our Uluru Tours come in two different styles - Classic 4WD or Budget Adventure. You can read more about our Uluru tour styles here, but essentially you can expect a higher level of comfort on our 4WD tours with permanent safari tents and beds (as opposed to swags on the budget tours). Our Budget Tours to Uluru travel on an air-conditioned minibus whereas our Classic 4WD tours travel in an air-conditioned 4WD truck.
We have over 18 years experience in supplying travellers unforgettable experiences to Uluru and Australia's highlights. Our guides are passionate about Australia, with a sound knowledge of local history, Aboriginal culture, geology and the natural environment. We are an Advanced Eco-Certified business and offer the highest standards of environmental understanding, operational practices and cultural representation. Wayoutback works closely with many of the traditional landowners in the regions in which we operate.
