Earlier this month, we celebrated 18 years of providing authentic and unforgettable small group tours to Uluru, Kakadu, Litchfield and Katherine. Our founder and Managing Director Don Wait had the following message to share with you all.
"I founded Wayoutback Australian Safaris on Valentines Day in 1999, a sure sign it was a true labour of love. It was indeed a great love of the Outback and wanting to share that with like-minded travelers from all over the world that became my passion and mission. Offering people the opportunity to travel with us and experience the timelessness, the expanse, the solitude and that special feeling you get when you are far from the crowds and civilisation.
We started from humble beginnings with one Toyota Troop Carrier working out of my flat in Alice Springs, running 4-wheel drive camping safaris in the Red Centre. Over the past 18 years we have expanded into the Top End; running safaris into Kakadu, Litchfield and Katherine Gorge. Our fleet has grown to approximately 50 vehicles with some 80 staff.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those people that have travelled with us over the years, who have supported us on social media and recommended us to their family and friends. Without your support the growth of Wayoutback would not have been possible. I would also like to thank those travelling with us now on our Birthday and those about to embark on an adventure with us in the near future. We look forward to many more years to come."
