Australia Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance

Because of the remote places that we visit, the unpredictability of the weather, long travel times and the adventurous nature of our safaris, it is not possible to guarantee exact pick-up and drop-off times. Because of this, Wayoutback Desert Safaris strongly recommend that all travellers take out Travel Insurance.

Not only does it protect you against the costs of injury but it also gives you Cancellation Cover. You wouldn't want to lose the money you've already spent because for some reason you can't make your Wayoutback tour or, you're unable to make a connection with a flight or other tour after Wayoutback.

The Aboriginal people of the Western Desert region of Central Australia suffer rates of kidney failure up to 30 times the National average. When treated in urban centres, usually followed by their extended families, the prognosis for them and their family is grim. Being uprooted from their homelands, which they are profoundly connected to, kills the spirit.
A community based dialysis service has been set up out in their homelands so patients in need of treatment can do so in the place they were born with their family there to support them.
