Ancient Landscapes, Timelessness and Heavenly Light

Outback Central Australia offers such a diverse range of landscapes, from mountain ranges hundreds of millions of years old through to sand country and clay pans, that it is a landscape photographers’ dream. Hosted by one of Australia’s most famous landscape photographers, Grenville Turner, this is your opportunity to hone your photographic skills with workshops and plenty of interaction amongst a group of equally passionate people.

Wayoutback offers a truly authentic opportunity for the avid photographer to lose themselves from the outside world whilst exploring some of the most beautiful locations in Central Australia. Sunset and sunrise over Uluru is an experience not to be missed but there are a host of other gems such as walking through the Olgas, our remote campsite at Kings Creek Station which offers fantastic sunsets over the George Gill Ranges, walking around Kings Canyon and visiting Palm Valley with its Livistona Palms.

Your Chance to Really Experience the Outback as it Should Be

This is a true outback experience in 4-wheel drive vehicles, small groups (max 14 persons), camping (tents can be provided), open fires at night, sensational camp fire meals with quality food, all equipment provided and fully catered. Camping and sleeping under the sensational star-filled southern night sky will be a memory of a life time. You, the wild and no other!!

There is an old adage – “the best locations are the hardest to get to” and this is where Wayoutback’s name and tradition come from. People expect the best and we leave no stone unturned in achieving that.

As we so proudly boast
"Masses go Outback – Only the enlightened few Go WAYOUTBACK"

The Aboriginal people of the Western Desert region of Central Australia suffer rates of kidney failure up to 30 times the National average. When treated in urban centres, usually followed by their extended families, the prognosis for them and their family is grim. Being uprooted from their homelands, which they are profoundly connected to, kills the spirit.
A community based dialysis service has been set up out in their homelands so patients in need of treatment can do so in the place they were born with their family there to support them.
