Agents Comments
Hi Don,
Have just got back from Oz and had to write to let you know how great the night was we spent with Phil in the swags!
Although this was one of the first things we did on the trip even on the last day we were all saying how that experience was the best one we had!
A lot of us were feeling a little nervous in the swags but Phil was great and we all opted out of off using the tents and just went for the swags!
Great product and looking forward to sending people your way soon!!
Thank you

This part of the fam trip was fantastic, I will never forget it. Our tour guide Phil & Ainsly made the trip something to remember. Phil had great knowledge and made sure everyone was comfortable and got involved in the experience.
Phil is the single best guide ever. EVER. Best night of camping of my entire life. Will sell to everyone.
Possibly the best thing i have ever done in my life! Our leader Phil was incredible. He put everyone at ease, kept us calm and explained things so well. So laid back and gave us what felt like a proper taste of Australia. Nothing was too much trouble and the overall experience felt like a once in a lifetime thing to do.
Would be good to try to get more understanding of product out to agents - think people get very scared by the idea of camping in Australia.
Guide was amazing and totally made the holiday. A very unique and special experience which encouraged bonding.
Phil was a legend - and the whole experience was totally unique.
The Way Outback Desert Safari was probably the best experience of the entire Fam trip. The whole adventure felt very unique and i feel so lucky to have had the chance to experience this. I loved Phil the guide who made us all feel so relaxed and safe in the outback. Eating and sleeping under the stars was a great experience that i would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to go to Ayres Rock.

Hi,
I just wanted to say a massive Thank You to Phil who took the Flight Centre Famil group out on a 1 night outback stay and Kings Canyon Hike. He was an absolute legend and deserves a massive pay rise! We learnt more from him than any AAT Kings tour leader could dream of telling us! He was so laid back and made us all completely at ease. That part of the trip was my absolute highlight and I cant wait to recommend you guys to my clients. Please pass on my thanks to Phil (although I'm sure he will just shrug it off!) and recommend him to any one that is slightly nervous about doing the trip. I honestly don't think I would have ever done that night in the outback by choice and it will stay with me forever!
Thanks again,
Lynsey

Hi Folks,
I just wanted to say a BIG BIG THANK YOU for taking us out on the flight centre famil trip last week.
Phil picked us up at the Ayers rock resort and was a legend from start to finish !
I would never have thought about going to the red centre before but having done it - its totally amazing - and so totally different from anything else I've done before.
Sleeping out in the swags was brilliant and Kings Canyon was just superb.
I loved it all and will certainly be pushing you guys with clients when they come in now.
Thanks,

Hello Wayoutback.
My name is Shaun and I work at Student Flights Melbourne Central. I just completed a famil with you guys which finished on Saturday the 18th. I just wanted to personally thank-you for the great opportunity you gave me. I had an AWESOME time and will DEFINITELY recommend your tour. I already had an enquiry this morning about going to central Australia and I really think I infected her with my enthusiasm. I expect her to be coming back in a couple of days to book it in. The only thing stopping her is the price of flights into central Australia...
I just have to say that Tom our tour guide was awesome and I was impressed with his local knowledge of the land.
Anyway, again, thanks. I will be writing a blog documenting my time in central Australia and rest assure that Wayoutback will be talked about in a favourable light.
Cheers,
Shaun

Dear Wayoutback team,
I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful experience I had on your 3 day tour. I travelled with David & he was an excellent guide full of information and dealt with the problems with the truck in a very professional way. We had a few problems with the truck, but the way was it was handled by David made sure that it didn't ruin the trip, it almost added to the sense of adventure and the other passengers on the trip were not bothered by it. The other travellers I spoke with said they really enjoyed themselves.
The food was really enjoyable, although we did not get any damper (probably because of the transport issues). I loved sleeping in a swag. Watching the stars each night was one of my favourite experiences & it really is the only way to experience the Red Centre.
Thank you very much for the great experience.

Dear Esther, Phil & Don,
Thank you SO MUCH for my Caterpillar Dreaming trip last week! Everyone was fantastic, and the trip itself was amazing.
From Josh, who picked me up and took me down to Jim's Place, David, the trainee guide, to the incredible Seona, all three staff are knowledgable, competent and just great people.
And Oak Valley! Aaron was our guide on the morning's activities, and both he and the place were facinating. I could have spent all day there exploring and listening to Aaron's stories.
When we headed to the West Macs it was great being able to ignore all the 'Impassable' road signs and go straight on through in the WOB truck! Camping next to the Finke River was magical, and although we didn't make it to Palm Valley, being able to see the West Macs at leisure was fantastic.
I've been raving about the trip ever since, and now whenever we have guests asking about a tour that includes some Aboriginal content I know that your Oak Valley tours are just the thing!
And my photos on my Facebook page are getting lots of comments from my friends - I keep telling everyone that there's so much more to see here than just the Rock!
So a big thank you again. I'm glad I finally got to go Wayoutback for myself!
With kind regards,
Faith.

Hello Way Out Back staff,
A very BIG thank you to all of you for a fantastic trip way out back! Of course it was great to see Uluru, Kata-Tjuta and Kings Canyon, but the style of the Way Out Back safari made it all the more enjoyable. I truly liked the camaraderie created by cooking together and sleeping in swags – I realize now what a great opportunity this will be for our future guests who are travelling solo. Seona was a top-notch guide—very knowledgeable, infinitely patient, and always enthusiastic. The rainy weather was a blessing – I feel grateful to have seen the Green Centre!
Ester, thank you also for keeping me well-informed on how to prepare.
I won’t hestitate to book future clients on this excellent tour, and look forward to working with you with our charter groups as well.
Many thanks again,

Hi Mez,
How are things? I am just writing to thank you for the amazing trip to Uluru. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it to people for that true outback experience! Sleeping in swags under the stars was a terrific experience for someone like me from Scotland who has never camped without a tent due to the weather. It was amazing!
Thanks again,

Dear Lia,
I would like to thank the Wayoutback team for giving me the great opportunity to join one of your 5 days tour. It has been one of the best experience I had during my stay in Australia. Everything was perfect even if we broke down twice, but this is part of the outback and I guess we were all there to experience adventure so we lived it and it helped the group to get even closer.
Josh our guide had a great knowledge about the aboriginal culture and nature, sleeping in swags was a quite a fun experience (even if I was scared some dingoes would come around us at night ..) and most of all, I really loved to hike in Kings Canyon & the West Macdonnels Ranges.
So I will defintely recommend this 5 days tour to all the clients that are looking for adventure and really get away from all the crowd.
Thank you very much again, I really enjoyed it !
Best Regards,
Johanna

Hello,
I just wanted to email and thank you for a fantastic/wonderful trip into the outback.
Everything was of exceptional quality - the guide (Bradley), accom (5* swag), vehicle, food, information, time management, experience - everything.
It will be my pleasure to publicise Wayoutback Tours to ALL BWT staff.
Also, I picked a 'feedback' form after the tour, but have misplaced this between Alice and Sydney - if you could email this to me, I would be happy to complete and send back (along with a few photos).
Thanks again,
Kind regards,
Tim

Dear Don,
I wish to thank you for providing the opportunity for myself to go on a Territory Discoveries FAMIL accompanying your 5 Day Wayoutback tour, on the 15th September. Our guide was Paul; he is truly an asset to your company. He was, at all times, highly professional, engaging and informative. It’s fantastic to see someone so passionate about their job being able to pass their knowledge onto others.
The tour itself was an amazing experience. The Oak Valley component certainly gives you a competitive edge over many of the other tour companies. Craig, as operator of Oak Valley Homestead, gave one of the most insightful viewpoints of the merging of Indigenous and European cultures that I have ever heard. The intimacy of your group tours is also a highlight, as it allows for great bonding.
Whilst the use of swags limits your market somewhat to those with a camping mind-set, this experience also adds authenticity to the whole journey. For some people on our tour, their biggest highlight was being able to sleep under a star-lit sky on a nightly basis.
As far as meeting dietary requirements, this was also handled exceptionally well, with little hardship met to cater for those who were lactose intolerant or vegetarian.
Once again, sincere thanks for the opportunity to experience your tour. Clients appreciate the fact that we, as sales consultants, have participated ourselves, as it means we know the answers to specific questions, and are better able to sell your product!
A rave and review about your tour will also be featuring on our Territory Discoveries website in approximately a week, if you would also like to view it. The address is www.territorydiscoveries.com

From a number of Agents that went out on a Famil with Wayoutback
Hi Karen,
Hope this finds you well and enjoying your new role as a mum. Firstly, I would like to thank you and Don for giving us this opportunity to show off Central Australia to our agents with Wayoutback Safaris. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. I have had the privilege of visiting these areas on a number of occasions with various operators and I must say your trip is not what I would normally book for myself and was pleasantly surprised just how much I got out of it. Paul the guide was exceptional his enthusiasm for this area and what he does shows he obviously has a genuine passion. The nature of the trip certainly put a few on board way out oftheir comfort zone. However, brought the group together… so did the weather it was bloody freezing. Despite the fact we survived the coldest May Day ever recorded in Central Australia you will see from the following feedback never deterred us from this unforgettable trip. I would also like to mention a highlight for me would have to be Oak Valley and Craig Ross he gave me so much more of an understanding about Aboriginal culture and there way’s.
Thank you Don for meeting us briefly on duration at Lasseters whish we had a bit more time to chat.
Take care! Regards and Well done to Paul
Cheers Becc E J
Wayoutback Safaris: Great adventure. Paul our guide was great and nothing seemed too much trouble. Even though we had not the best of weather he did the best he could to make us comfortable and was also full of interesting information. I really enjoyed the stop at Oak Valley Aboriginal Community and our host. He was very passionate about the land and his people and was also very down to earth and honest.
Wayoutback Safaris - (Guide Paul Jackman)
My favourite part of the trip (and the part I was most worried about to start with). Paul really made the tour for us - it was a very unique way to see the NT and I think made it all the more special, I think the other groups really missed out by not doing it. Paul was very professional but still lots of fun. This is a trip I would definitely recommend to clients. The bus was good and very well suited to what we were doing and I still can't believe that Paul could cook a whole meal over an open fire (I ruin things that are microwaveable!) I really enjoyed the time we spent at Oak Valley as well - definitely a highlight!
My Rave and Review- Wayoutback Safari's
We were met at our hotel by our guide Paul (whom we affectionately named Paul Jackman). As a bit of a princess I was a little concerned about "roughing it" but was relieved to find out that although we were sleeping it out we didn't not do without our creature comforts - we even managed to use our straightners most mornings!
On the first day we travelled from Alice Springs down to Yallara where we set up camp for the night, that afternoon we travelled out to Uluru to do the base walk and then had drinks as we watch the sunset changing the rock to a brilliant, glowing red. Dinner was cooked over the campfire followed up by toasted marshmallows for dessert with lots of stories and jokes around the campfire.
Day two had us up for an early start - we watched the sunrise over Kata Tjutu which was spectacular and then did the Valley of the Winds walk through Kata Tjuta to 3 lookouts scattered amongst the rock formation. Our camp that night was King Creek Station where Kings Canyon is situated.
Day 3 was spent at Kings Canyon - after making it up heart attack hill (the name makes it sounds worse than it is) we had a beautiful walk through the Canyon to the beautiful, tranquil Garden of Eden nestled right in the heart of Kings Canyon. We then made our way to Oak Valley Aboriginal community to meet our guide for the next day Craig and set up camp for the evening.
The following morning Craig took us for a tour through his community's land explaining the significance of the rock paintings and carvings all the while entertaining us with stories this was definitely a highlight of the trip. After this we regrettably made our way back to Alice Springs to conclude our tour.
Wayoutback Safaris
Normally this would not have been the way I would have chosen to get around. But it was pretty fun and enjoyable, apart from the possibly safe (but I thought insane) driving though the mud I had a great time.
Wayoutback Safaris - Well where can I start!!! Paul was a gem wasn't he! He worked so hard and accommodated every change we made! It was a really great tour & was just a shame that the weather wasn't on our side as I was looking forward to camping under the stars! Having said that it certainly has given me the bug to try again (at warmer times of the year!) & hasn't completely jaded my experience. Thought the meals were really well structured and nobody ever went hungry.
The vehicle certainly kept our experience authentic!

Dear Don
Thank you SO MUCH for organising the famil for Caroline Mortier. She got back last night absolutely glowing, buzzing with happiness. She loved the trip. Kept raving all evening about how much better it was doing Wayoutback than any other tour because they could sleep under the stars, get away from the other tourists. And she was disappointed that she wasnt continuing on to do the 5 day trip because clearly that was the way to go. So well done to you - and congratulations to your staff for putting on a good one ! And again, thank you for your help.
The new product manager for Oz at Australie Autrement is the utterly fabulous Celine Moreno (I have to say that - I've cc'd her into this email) so if you want to discuss what possibilities there are for Wayoutback, you should chat to her. I believe Celine will be at ATE but then so will everyone.
You and your girls should come around again soon. Doesnt Jaz want to feed the kangaroos again ??
Warmest wishes

I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time on our wayoutback safari.
The experience was more than we had expected and definitely the way to go! Seeing huge busloads of tourists pulling up and rushing from site to site reminded us how lucky we were to be with wayoutback in a smaller more intimate group. Our guide Paul was fantastic with everyone (my daughter is a huge fan) and very informative, the meals were delicious and the daily hikes were well paced. We particularly loved Kings Canyon Creek and could have stayed at your campsite there for 2 nights!
I have recommended your company to several of my friends and colleagues. Expect to see more business from Altour and me in the future!
Thanks again for making such an excellent product available!
