This 6 day Photographic Tour combines the beauty, natural wonder and timelessness of some of the best locations in Central Australia with a photographic focus. For the enthusiastic photographer you will receive tips and tuition from one of Australia’s most highly regarded photographers, Grenville Turner, with a myriad of opportunities to photograph awesome scenery and wildlife. You will learn about light and composition and discover how to create photographic opportunities as we travel in the most extraordinary locations.

No trip to Central Australia would be complete without visiting and photographing Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and Kings Canyon plus a host of other treasures that await you. This experience will reveal to you all things symbolic with the Australian Outback, plus features that thousands of travellers NEVER get to see.

Special Features:

  • Daily photography workshops
  • Interactive Aboriginal Cultural experiences
  • Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, Palm Valley and West MacDonnell Ranges
  • Wild, remote, raw Australian outback

Ancient Landscapes, Timelessness and Heavenly Light

Outback Central Australia offers such a diverse range of landscapes, from mountain ranges hundreds of millions of years old through to sand hill swail country and clay pans, that it is a landscape photographers’ dream. Hosted by one of Australia’s most famous landscape photographers, Grenville Turner, this is your opportunity to hone your photographic skills with workshops and plenty of interaction amongst a group of equally passionate people.

Wayoutback offers a truly authentic opportunity for the avid photographer to lose themselves from the outside world whilst exploring some of the most beautiful locations in Central Australia. Sunset and sunrise over Uluru is an experience not to be missed but there are a host of other gems such as walking through the Olgas, our remote campsite at Kings Creek Station which offers fantastic sunsets over the George Gill Ranges, walking around Kings Canyon and visiting Palm Valley with its Livistona Palms.

Your Chance to Really Experience the Outback as it Should Be

This is a true outback experience in 4-wheel drive vehicles, small groups (max 16 persons), camping (tents can be provided), open fires at night, sensational camp fire meals with quality food, all equipment provided and fully catered. Camping and sleeping under the sensational star-filled southern night sky will be a memory of a life time. You, the wild and no other!!

There is an old adage – “the best locations are the hardest to get to” and this is where Wayoutback’s name and tradition come from. People expect the best and we leave no stone unturned in achieving that.

As we so proudly boast
"Masses go Outback – Only the enlightened few Go WAYOUTBACK"
