Are you itching to get away for an adventure through the Australian outback? A 4WD vehicles tour with Wayoutback might be just what you’re looking for.
Our 4WD tours are operated in specially modified vehicles designed to meet the most rigorous of safety standards. No expense is spared for our fleet, with minor service and inspection performed every 5000 km (roughly 3,000 miles), and major service done every 20,000 km (roughly 12,500 miles). All vehicles also comply with the Northern Territory Motor Vehicle Registration and accreditation and specification standards for tourist vehicles.
All of our 4WD vehicles are designed for tours that take you off the beaten path. These specialised vehicles include four 15-seat and one 17-seat Mitsubishi Canters, two Toyota Landcruiser Troopcarriers and the Turbo Charged Toyota Landcruiser GXL.
If you're completely unfamiliar with our vehicles, you'll quickly realize why we utilize such a rugged fleet. The Canters, for example, are ideal for large parties thanks to air conditioning, reclining seats, footrests, storage areas and a kitchen space. And that's just the start of the superior features that help this 4WD off-road vehicle get anywhere and everywhere thanks to its ability to carry 210 litres of fuel and 120 litres of water. Plus with window tinting, bull bars and spotlights we can achieve total freedom in the bush.
The Troopcarriers, meanwhile are Turbo charged for greater engine power and response during off-road driving, and can get through heavy sand crossing river beds or over the top of sand dunes! (Yes, there's a reason Toyota extensively tests these vehicles in the outback). All of ours come fitted with long range fuel tanks, front bull bars and Haymen Reece tow bars. All in all, its greatest benefit is that it's simply designed as a workhorse.
And finally, if you want to know why we're taken with the Landcruiser GXL, its suspension includes upgraded torsion bars, shock absorbers and coil springs. Fitted with an extra long range fuel tank, we can drive the Landcruiser 1000km before it needs gas. There's a reason why this vehicle has been around Australia for decades, but you'll definitely need to experience it for yourself.
A 4WD adventure is the only way to experience Australia’s natural beauty, amazing wildlife, and beautiful cultures. We have exclusive access through two huge and iconic cattle stations, Curtin Springs and Kings Creek Stations. This is 120km of outback tracks taking you through beautiful countryside that very few people have laid eyes on and where wildlife such as Red Kangaroos, Dingo’s, Camels and other creatures can be seen.
