Alice is also vibrant in the arts, particularly indigenous art, with Alice Springs being the centre for a host of artists that paint on communities and settlements in and around the Red Centre and who bring their art to Alice to display in the many galleries around the town. So popular has indigenous art become that there is a growing number of Arts Tours available whereby art enthusiasts can go on tour to some of these remote communities and meet and mix with the artists. The Araluen Arts Centre is the focal point of Alice Springs' performing and visual arts, incorporating four galleries and a theatre.
