One of the great features of visiting Australia is the opportunity it presents for surfing, with waves coming in from the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Indian Ocean from the west, and the Southern Ocean to the south. Serious surfers, even from the United States who are used to the waves on the California coast and Hawaii, inevitably travel Down Under to pit themselves against the unique waves on the western side of the Pacific Rim.
We include a stay at this surf camp that has been established between Coffs Harbor and Byron Bay on Australia’s east coast in the midst of a national marine park somewhat removed from the crowded beaches where tourists usually travel to. The surf camp provides a full service venue for the traveler, whether an experienced surfer, or a complete newbie who wants to learn the fine art of riding the waves. It offers a full immersion experience in Australia’s surfer culture.
Our surf camp provides tailored lessons for the needs of each individual surfer traveler. Accommodations is in hostel dorm rooms, ideal for groups traveling together. The Surf Camp provides surf boards, as well as kayaks and bicycles for those who need them and for those after even more adrenaline can also provides a sky diving experience that promises a splendid view over the nearby Solitary Islands before landing on the beach a brief walk from one’s accommodations.
